Advising
Advising is an important part of my role as a faculty member and teacher. Advising is a form of teaching, and I enjoy serving as a formal academic advisor and advising students informally.
To help my advisees, I have created an advising "syllabus". The concept of such a document was not mine originally; I would like to thank the colleagues who contributed to this idea and to my syllabus itself.
For my advisees: this is a sample of a prior advising syllabus. You should always use the complete and most recent version which I provide each year; the most recent version is also available on the Music Education Moodle Site.
